Baby's First Flight!
Alex, you did great on your first official (postnatal) flight. We did fly to Palm Springs when you were 5 mo. in utero, but that doesn't really count. Our trip to Denver for Daddy's high school reunion went great! The flight was not too long (a good practice trip for Kauai in January) and you only cried 5 to 10 min. each way. The rest of the time you were either sleeping or giggling and talking to other passengers. You also did great during our many activities, slept great in the hotel, and even enjoyed some swimming at the Hyatt pool. Good job, little man!

Coming up on 6 months!
Alex, is it possible that you will be 6 months old in less than two weeks? You have grown and changed so much in that time...we are amazed! But it has gone so fast already, we really want to slow down the clock now. We realize you are going to grow up way too fast. We're going to just have to enjoy every moment and watch all of your talents emerge...so far we know you LOVE music (you sing and dance to al kinds), books, piano (daily lessons), babbling and cooing, the laptop, watching Daddy work on the cottage, taking walks in your stroller, drives in the car, and most things that involve being active and social. In 3 days you will have your first plane trip, so we imagine you will love that too. You are such a fun and amazing part of our lives!

9 Day Adventure in Shasta
Alex, we got back late last night from our 9 day trip to Shasta, where you did exceptionally well for the longest trip you've taken so far. Mommy and Daddy can't believe how great you did, despite some teething pain here and there. You met soooo many people, how will you ever remember all their names? You of course loved seeing Oma and Opa, Uncle Rob, Aunt Shelly, cousins Jonathan and Justin, and Uncle Don. You enjoyed meeting new buddies Carolyn, Jenn, Estee and Jerry w/ their little ones, and soooo many new friends. We'll post some pics soon!

Happy 4th of July!!!
We celebrated your first 4th of July over the weekend. We had a great time, and luckily you were not scared of the fireworks. We went to the Bel Marin Keys Yacht Club for a carnival, dog show, some games, and good snow cones and food. Later we went to the neighbor's house on the water for a party. You slept most of the time in your stroller, which gave Mom and Dad some time to mingle (thanks!). When you awoke, you got lots of kisses and holds from the people at the party...you sure don't mind all the attention! After the party, we went to Oma and Opa's for dinner and then watched fireworks on the lagoon from the porch and hung out with you while you played with your feet. You are too cute! Oh, we also went out in the canoe earlier in the day, which was fun...we will take you out when you're older...you'll love it! Bob took lots of pics during the day, which we will upload a.s.a.p.

14 weeks old tonight!
Alexander, you're now 14 weeks old, as of an hour ago. It sure is going fast, though we're with you every day and spend lots of time with you. We read books together (well, Mommy mainly reads and you look at the pictures), you listen to Mommy and Daddy play the piano, we take you shopping and on all kinds of excursions (which you find quite entertaining), and you spend lots of time eating. The eating part is probably why you're in 6 mo. clothes already. You'll experience your first 4th of July celebration this weekend in Bel Marin Keys at Oma and Opa's...we'll get to see all the boats on the lagoon and hang out with the neighbors at their party.

3 months old!!!
Alex, you were 3 months (or technically, 12 weeks) old last Wednesday. Boy, are you increasing your skills! At this moment, you are kicking voraciously and talking like there's no tomorrow. We could swear you say "hi" regularly now, and you giggle, coo, and make train sounds. You laugh so much we know you have a great sense of humor. You've make "mmmm" sounds, so hopefully you'll be saying "mama" sometime soon. You are now wearing 6 month outfits. We have to keep up with your constant growth spurts. You can roll over without a problem, you put your hands together and look at them, stare at people and smile, follow sounds, and are drooling so much we wonder if your teeth are already starting to move in.
Because you seem to just love getting out and going for adventures, we've been going w/ Daddy to Marin at least once or twice a week. Yesterday we went to Oma and Opa's stores in Tiburon for a visit, then visited a few friends around town. You are so good in the car...you can sleep the entire car ride, as long as the car's going at least 30 mph.

11 weeks old tomorrow!
Wow, baby you will be 11 weeks old tomorrow! Can't believe that much time has passed already. You are changing so much each week. You are now rolling over, reaching out to touch things, smiling big smiles so frequently, and you have outgrown most of your 0-3 mo. clothes! You are wearing 3-6 mo. clothes but are not even 3 mo. old yet....slow it down, little man! You are so much fun, Mommy and Daddy are having a hard time getting much else done besides hang out with you! You love to go for daily (sometimes twice daily) walks in your stroller and enjoy meeting new people whenever you can! Last weekend we participated in a neighborhood garage sale in Bel Marin Keys (Oma and Opa's neighborhood) and you had a great time seeing so many new people and people you already know.
